From Marketing Tools 24/7: Have some not-so-great photos or stories on your Facebook you wish weren’t there? Going for a job interview or home to mother and want a more “professional social life” showing? If yes to either here’s a great little tool that will help clean up your Facebook pages.
Simple Wash™, a tool develop by a group of students from Kent State, will “scrub” (remove) pictures and images from your Facebook account you are having second thoughts about. Simple Wash crawls your Facebook account and targets a list of undesirable terms, when they find them the tool will :
– return results in conceptual chunks, for example “Comments posted on your wall” and “Links that you have liked.”
– Each result has a blue, clickable link that takes you directly to the post. There you can delete or privatize your post as desired.
Simple Wash is working on a similar tool for Twitter, you can subscribe to their email list and be notified when it’s ready.
Thank God for college kids, without them we wouldn’t have Facebook or the need for a tool to clean it up!
